How do I post

X

You must first be a registered user of the Thurrock (West) freecycle group. A link to the group can be found here. Once you have gone through the registration period, you will be able to submit an offer/wanted post for the moderators to accept. When it has been decided your posts are adhering to the rules of Freecycle you will be allowed to post direct to the board.

Once a post has been submitted all you have to do is wait for a reply from another registered Freecycle member.

THE 1-2-3 OF SUBJECT LINE FORMATTING

1. Begin with OFFERED: or WANTED:
2. Include a short item description
3. End with your location
For example:
OFFERED: Radiator (Grays)
WANTED: Red Ball (Tilbury)

If you do not have any items for Freecycle but still want to join then we also have a very friendly cafe group that runs along side the main group.

In this group, Thurrock residents can chat to each other and ask advice, swap ideas and recommend local services. You may also advertise your local event in the cafe group, be it for fun or fundraising. It has a real sense of community and everyone is very friendly, we hope you will feel at home!

So, grab a coffee and a seat and join in the fun!

“FREECYCLE™ NETWORK MEMBERS USE THE LIST AT THEIR OWN RISK. Please take reasonable measures to protect your safety and privacy when posting to the list or participating in an exchange. By joining the list, you agree to hold neither the list owners, moderators nor anyone affiliated with Freecycle.org responsible or liable for any circumstance resulting from a Freecycle-related exchange or communication.

SAFETY. Be aware! It is up to each individual member of Freecycle when arranging for pickup of the item being given away to be appropriately aware of the potential risk of having "a stranger" come to your home to pick something up. Freecycle as a organization assumes no responsibility for this risk. If you, for example, are a single woman living alone, you may want to say that you'll leave the item on the front porch while you are not home or arrange for a drop-off downtown, etc.”
