This website supported this campaign in 2007

The campaign demanded that Thurrock Council provide enough reception school places for four and five year old children who currently live in Chafford Hundred by opening an additional class in the academic year beginning September 2007.

Furthermore, it demanded that Thurrock Council fulfils its statutory duties and obligations by forward planning and then taking all the necessary actions to ensure that the current and future generations of young children growing up on Chafford Hundred are provided with school places in the Chafford area.

"Parents outside of Chafford Hundred can apply as first choice any school on Chafford Hundred" - Cllr Michael Revell (Portfolio holder for Children's Services)
