Together we will make a difference

The Chafford Hundred Community Forum is one of twenty Community Forums set up by Thurrock Council in order for the residents of Thurrock to have a small part in how their community is run.

Community Forums are independent community groups interested in making a real difference to their community. By coming together you can influence decision making and the delivery of services.

Forums can also:
• Provide a way for the public to raise their own views and concerns about Thurrock Council or local issues;
• Strengthen local community networks and develop constructive and effective partnerships between local people and the Council.
• Allocate funding for local initiatives, once they've been officially recognised.

Who can join the Community Forums?

The main projects the Chafford hundred Community forum has worked on recently have been the very successful Chafford Hundred Community Day, known as CD:2006 and the opening of a Youth Club in the Drake Road Community Centre, as welling as supplying funds for a number of local projects.

We're currently involved in consultations as regards the building of 3000 more houses the Tank Farm/ Devonshire Road Area and also with the PCT in terms of looking at the lack of Community Facilities on Chafford Hundred.
