The Chafford Hundred Community Forum is one of twenty Community Forums set up by Thurrock Council in order for the residents of Thurrock to have a small part in how their community is run.
Community Forums are independent community groups interested in making a real difference to their community. By coming together you can influence decision making and the delivery of services.

| • Provide a way for the public to raise their own views and concerns about Thurrock Council or local issues; • Strengthen local community networks and develop constructive and effective partnerships between local people and the Council. • Allocate funding for local initiatives, once they've been officially recognised. |

The main projects the Chafford hundred Community forum has worked on recently have been the very successful Chafford Hundred Community Day, known as CD:2006 and the opening of a Youth Club in the Drake Road Community Centre, as welling as supplying funds for a number of local projects.
We're currently involved in consultations as regards the building of 3000 more houses the Tank Farm/ Devonshire Road Area and also with the PCT in terms of looking at the lack of Community Facilities on Chafford Hundred.
