Below is a list of those who have gave us their definite confirmation for the Community Day 2006 event, that took place on June 17th 2006, at the Campus School. We'd love to add you or your organisation to the event for 2007.

We're still looking for volunteers for both organising the event and helping run the event on the day in 2007, as well as any organisations who would like to get actively involved or provide sponsorship. Are you up for the challenge, it's going to be our biggest day yet?

Who confirmed their attendance and what did they do?

What can we say about Dilemma, that's not been said already. If you've not heard of them, have a word with your kids. They are clearly the areas favourite band and they haven't even left school yet. They've already performed as support to Jason Donnovan, Midge Ure, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and soon The Troggs. We were proud to announce they have agreed to perform @ CD:2006 and brought along a host of other local musicians to kept everyone entertained. Here's a free download of Dilemma's recent single 2_L8_2 Save Me? .

How was your Handicap. Richard Herring, the Golf Pro, from Orsett Golf Club, helped improve everyones technique. Whether you were a seasoned pro, or just tried Golf for the first time, loads of people made a bee-line for Richards area.

Some pampering for the ladies, or even the gents, if they really want to smarten up! Talons Nails and Mobile Beauty Therapist, who usually provide the following services calgel, organic gel nail system & ibd gel. Manicure, Pedicure, Waxing, Facial, Eye Treatments, Spray Tanning and Aromatherapy Massage, supplied a selection of these treatments on site.

Let's face it. No Community activity is complete without a Fire Engine. The lads at Essex Fire Service had kindly agreed to bring along one of their engines. It was operational on the day, and was called away at short notice. In addition the fire service are also had a marquee, promoting fire safety advice.

Phoenix Trading (www.phoenix-trading.co.uk/web/janicebell) had a stall, once again selling their bespoke cards, posters, gift wrap, greeting cards etc. Everything you needed to finish off that special occasion or present.

Sandmartin Public House. Once again Debbie at the Sandmartin had kindly offered to run a refreshment tent, so that gave the mums somewhere to go, whilst Dad took the kids on all the entertainment! Lets face it she earnt the break after looking after the kids through the world cup, one day won't harm.

We sponsored the Ensign Bus X80 Bus service through Chafford Hundred for the day, so those who made best use of the Sandmartins Tent, were able to do so, knowing they could get home safely, without having to drive. The bus was free for all journeys through Chafford Hundred between 11:55 and 16:55.

Lakeside Ford  brought along a number of their latest vehicles.

In tune with the football fever that swept the country Thurrock Tigers organised a junior football tournament.

The Early Learning Centre had kindly allowed us the use of their Air flow System of tunnels. So our toddlers had the windswept effect.

Who can forget the absolutely electric performance from the girls at the Alison Anderson School Of Dance at last years Community Day.(2005) We were really glad to see that once again Alisons girls came along to show us how it's done.

As well as what's listed above we had a whole host of activities. As well as keeping the toddlers happy, we were particulalry aiming CD:2006 at both families and teenagers.

Don't forget, if you or your organisation, wish to get involved in CD:2007, we'd be glad to hear from you. We're still firming up on P.A.'s, stalls, sponsorship, rides etc. and we'd be glad of any help anyone can give us in this department.

It's your Community Day and we're counting on your support.
